But the general decline in strength and mobility doesn't happen over night. You could compare it to nutrition. The odd junk food dinner, the body can probably deal with unscathed, but if that's all you're eating, chances are your health will suffer sooner or later. You will suffer sooner or later. |
It's the same with movement; muscles get so short and weak due to everyday underuse that they will restrict your ability to move and cope with everyday activities sooner or later.
This is not a predetermined script. It's your choice how this will play out. If you look after your physical and mental wellbeing, you immensely increase your chances at being of healthy mind and body today and in the future. |
