"Since beginning one-to-one Pilates with Katrina the pain I used to feel in my lower back from sitting at a desk all day has long since disappeared. I’m much more flexible than I used to be, and now able to do poses that I wouldn't have been able to do six months ago. The exercises have strengthened my lower back muscles considerably, which is helping my marathon training. Katrina is very patient, and very good at explaining stretches and poses. "I started 1-to-1 Pilates sessions with Katrina as I was nervous of group classes where I wouldn't necessarily learn the right technique, and where I was worried I'd struggle to keep up, especially as my balance isn't great. I've always thought of myself as uncoordinated, so I worried about going into general classes doing a brand new kind of exercise - I imagined I'd quickly feel demoralised, and even worse about my lack of fitness. Katrina was the best possible teacher to address all my concerns. 1-to-1 sessions are completely personalised, taking you through the elements of a general class individually and at your own pace, before putting them all together for a smooth, flowing session. The sessions allow lots of time to ask questions, practice the correct technique, and figure out the best way for you personally to approach a pose. There's also plenty of enjoyment and laughter. Katrina is brilliant at helping visualise the mechanics of a position, so that you can both do it correctly and remember it later. She also creates a lovely relaxed, non-judgmental atmosphere where issues with one's body can be gently addressed in a positive way. I can thoroughly recommend Katrina, and I hope to continue classes with her for as long as possible."

"I took up Pilates in order to de-stress and tone and was rather apprehensive of going at first. Katrina led my first session and instantly made me feel relaxed and at ease. I continued to go back to her group classes and have never had to do more than I feel capable of doing. As Katrina pointed out it is never a competition. Working in retail I found that my back and shoulders get tired and achy quite quickly, but since taking Katrina's classes I feel just as energised and capable at the end of a shift as I did at the beginning.
